Each year’s legislative session carries with it the hopes of a great many people, with the promise that pressing issues will be addressed and solutions created -- and inevitably, each session has its successes and its disappointments.
Disappointments from 2018 Legislative Season
It’s the final day of the 2018 legislative session at the State Capitol. After months of debate and lobbying, 222 of the 2260 bills introduced have made it to the Governor’s desk, which left many disappointed stakeholders.

Farmers were hit hard by the last month’s Friday the 13th flooding -- and not only on Kauai. Some Oahu farms were set to be part of a farm tour this weekend. Horses and chickens were on the original farm tour list, but there had to be some reshuffling.
